☁️☁️☁️
A course and community for women writers ready to replenish, write, and reclaim. You’ll leave with new words on the page, new perspective, new tools of care.

! JULY 6-August 24!

Sundays, noon-1:30 EST

(w/ recordings and a magical online space)

WELCOME. LET’S CALM DOWN.

😌

☁️What is the Calm Down Club?☁️

A soft landing in a hard world.

In this course/ space, we’ll explore radical rest and creativity. Tools include generative writing, restorative yoga, lessons on the energy body and subtle body philosophies in the yoga tradition and how this knowledge can aid us in daily energetic self-care. We’ll learn how to slow down, consume less. We’ll explore clearing out what we don’t need (out of our homes/ our minds/ our worries!) to make space for the new (activism. creative work. or whatever you want!) This class is rooted in the perspectives of yoga and creative writing, but you don’t need any experience with either—-you just have to be someone who wants to learn how to care for themselves energetically, so you can then go out and be of service in the world in whatever way calls you. You’ll leave the course with new words on the page, new tools for caring for your energy and new friends.

This is rest.

A virtual cottony cloud.

🔑 Why You Might Take This:

1) you’re burning out, or don’t want to burn out!

2) you want new tools for accessing creativity

3) you’re curious how rest can help you create

4) life has been a lot lately, and you crave a nourishing,

summer-long gift for yourself

👋 Who am I?
Hi, I’m Sarah—a writer, writing teacher and yoga teacher who has been teaching for 15 years. I’m also someone living alongside anxiety + depression, who is sensitive and existing (alongside you) in this intense time. Practices of restorative yoga, meditation, sound healing, an understanding of the energy and subtle bodies in yoga and writing save my life. They galvanize me to be of service in the best way I can, they help me stay centered. I created this space to help you actively create calm, make space for creativity and activism, build a stronger relationship with your OWN energy body, heal.

My writing has been in the NYTimes, LATimes and I’m a regular contributor to Yoga Journal. My books on yoga have been published with Penguin, Rodale and Fairwinds press. I hold MFAs from NYU, Lesley University and have over 500 hours of yoga teacher traning. Poke around this site to learn about me.
